ORBIT.SYS — SOLAR SYSTEM MONITOR v1.0 LIVE
The sun — your habits

Time management, organisation and positive self-talk. The denser this star, the stronger its pull, and the harder it is for anything to drag a planet off course.

The planets — your life

School, family, friendships, sleep, health. The things you are responsible for. When the centre holds, they orbit in alignment.

The asteroids — distractions

Notifications, wasting time, leaving it too late. Unavoidable, but predictable — and a well-anchored orbit recovers from the hit.

The short version

What, why, how, who and when.

Everything Orbit does in five answers.

01 — What

Executive functioning coaching and tutoring, one student at a time

We map what your orbit is currently like — what you are responsible for, what pulls you off track, and what keeps you aligned — then strengthen it using mind alignment strategies grounded in the principles of neuroscience. Session content stays flexible, because no two students need the same thing.

02 — Why

Your life is a galaxy, with many solar systems in it

Some solar systems are the size of a whole school year, some fit inside a single assignment. A star with real density holds its planets in alignment. Asteroids are unavoidable — but when you can see one coming, you can plan for it. And the habits that anchor one solar system will serve you in every other one in your galaxy.

03 — How

A complimentary consultation, then weekly 1:1 sessions

Start with a free 15-minute meeting and an intake form. From there, weekly one-hour 1:1 sessions with detailed written notes every week — progress made, areas for future focus, and optional homework. Holiday intensives run in the breaks. Each term closes with a free review and a written progress report.

04 — Who

Students from Year 5 to university — and outliers welcome

Orbit is built for students who have real creativity and potential but struggle to harness it because of difficulties with distraction, focus and concentration — especially where that is making learning environments hard and knocking their confidence. Coaching is led by Victoria, a primary teacher completing a Master of Educational Neuroscience.

05 — When

Monday to Saturday, 7am until 7pm

Regular weekly sessions at a time that suits your schedule, subject to availability. Sessions run for one hour and are billed weekly, with a bulk term package available. Holiday intensives run through the school breaks in one-week and two-week options.

Based on neuroscience

The brain science we actually use.

Every strategy in a session comes from somewhere. These are the parts of the research that do the work.

Optimising for

Autonomy

Motivation holds when a student feels in control of the decision. So the student chooses the strategy, sets the times and names the trade-offs — the coach asks the questions. A plan someone hands you is followed for a week. A plan you built yourself is the one still running in Week 9.

Optimising for

Confidence

Confidence is not built by being told you are capable. It is built by collecting evidence you cannot argue with. Sessions are structured so the student can see the change — what they finished, what they started on time, and what they handled that used to derail them.

Principle

Neuroplasticity

Executive functioning is not a fixed trait you either got or missed out on. It is a set of skills run by circuits that continue to develop over your lifespan, and they strengthen with deliberate, repeated practice — which is exactly what a weekly session is for.

Principle

Working memory & cognitive load

Holding a whole assignment in your head is what makes it feel enormous. Getting it out of working memory and onto paper frees up the capacity to think. Most of what looks like a motivation problem is an overloaded system.

Principle

Self-talk and the threat response

A brain that feels under threat protects itself instead of planning. Harsh self-talk keeps it there. Self-compassion is not a soft add-on — it is what puts the thinking part of the brain back in charge, which is why we teach it as a skill.

Principle

Attention, initiation and reward

Starting is a separate skill from doing. We work with how attention and reward actually behave — shrinking the first step until it is genuinely easy to begin, building in the small completions the brain responds to, and protecting focus rather than relying on willpower to hold it.

Does this sound like you?

"I want to succeed but I feel like I'm failing. I just don't even know what I'm failing at, so I feel like I'm failing at everything."

The student Orbit is built for

If that lands — for you, or for your child — Orbit is for you. The full version of this is on the services page, and it is worth reading before you book.
